Identity

Givers are altruists who care for the welfare of those close to them as well as humanity at large. They have the ability to extend compassion and self interest beyond themselves and recognize the hardships and challenges of groups outside their own. These people are attuned to the injustices and inequalities that exist within systems of society, and often feel a sense of responsibility to repair them.

Primary Motivation

Reaching a world of equality, justice, and social harmony.

Primary Belief

Power hierarchies exist and we should squash them.

Healthy Adaptations

Finding contentment through service.

Unhealthy Adaptations

Seeking recognition through service. Having beliefs power your identity rather than your action.

Love

In love, Givers attend to the needs of their partner and will always be there to help and support them. However, they should be careful not to be so understanding that their relationships are one-sided. Givers are most satisfied and secure in relationships where there isn't necessarily one person "wearing the pants", but where both partners see and treat each other as equals.
