High Scorers

Maximizers want the optimum outcome in every endeavour and choice. When they feel like they haven’t made the best decision, they’re more likely than others to experience regret.

If no perfect decision exists, they will regret their choice regardless, see its flaws and anxiously reconsider the better qualities of every other alternative. This makes decision-making a mentally taxing and time-consuming battle.

While they may seem indecisive, Maximizers confidently know what they want — what they want just may annoyingly hard to find.

Related Traits

Unlike their opposite, Satisficers, Maximizers painstakingly evaluate every alternative when making a decision. This impulse stems from their disposition towards perfectionism and strong feelings of regret or missed opportunities, even when they’ve made the “right” decision
