High scorers are attuned to peoples emotions and motivations, and are able to fit into many social situations as a result. They are acutely aware of people’s physical expressions of emotions, which allows them to sense moods which may go unnoticed to others, and are similarly in tune with themselves, giving them the ability to control their own feelings effectively.

Socially intelligent people are abstract social thinkers, recognizing similarities and patterns, and using this information to identify emotional ties within groups. Over time, they accumulate a pool of knowledge that allows them to make sense of emotions and find interpretations.
