High scorers are are able to let go of resentment. They are able to understand why people have hurt them and move on with their life. They can let go of negative thoughts and feelings associated with a wrongdoer and replace them with acceptance. They are less likely to hold a grudge or feel the need to "get back" at someone for hurting them. Forgiving people are better able to maintain inner tranquility by not internalizing feelings of anger and resentment.
