Relaxed and present. Not easily worried by the future, people or circumstances.
Calm people are relaxed and present, and are able to regulate their emotions. To them, worrying about the future is a waste of their time and energy. They are less likely to experience anxiety and worry, and when they do, they have the ability to sooth their negative emotions and develop perspective by creating mental distance between themselves and negative circumstances. They are also able to constructively shut off worrying for a period of time in order to get a task done or deal with an immediate concern.
Calm people are also less judgmental of their negative emotions, and allow themselves to experience them while remainining present in the moment.
They can process information and decisions in a way that is not based out of fear or anxiety. They are more likely to take risks and put themselves in vulnerable positions because they worry less about the downside.
In love, the calm person is poised and trusting. They don't need an immediate text back to be reassured that their partner cares about them nor are they likely to over-interpret messages or cues.
Calm people live in the moment and enjoy spending time with people, without setting any expectations for how they want things to go.
